Honda unveiled the Street Sport Concept Ridgeline in the opening day of the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

A project from American Honda, the Street Sport Concept explores different visions from Honda engineers and designers. The front and rear bumpers were restyled, supporting LED fog lights up front and an integrated tow hitch in back. The Ridgeline wasn’t necessarily designed with a hard tonneau in mind, but Honda came with a nifty unit that is remotely powered in tandem with the tailgate.

Some other exterior features include wide side-rocker panels with integrated aluminum side-pipe exhaust, C-pillar trim and custom Shock Metallic paint.

The truck is lowered with prototype Honda advanced performance springs and struts. Brembo 6-piston brakes peek through custom 2-piece two-tone wheels mounted inside BFG g-Force T/A 305/40WR-22 tires.

The interior draws inspiration from the sport compact crowd with four Recaro seats, leather and suede trim, sheered velour mohair carpet, leather floormats, 9-speaker sound system, rear view camera integrated into Honda navigation system, LED accent lights and video monitors in the front seats and custom door panels. There’s also a floor-length console complete with cup holders, rear climate control vents, power outlets and Sony Playstation.

Honda brought 12 customized Ridgelines to the SEMA Show to demonstrate the many options for personalization. We’ll have features on many of them throughout the week.
