TRD REVEALS MORE ABOUT SUPERCHARGED TUNDRA

Development brought the 2002 Ivan Stewart Signature Edition Tundra full
size pickup to SEMA this year to demonstrate an all new, dealer-installed
supercharger option. Last year a pre-production
model was shown.
We spoke
with Mary Harden, TRD's Marketing Manger, about the new add-on.
The supercharger
will be available at dealers by the end of the first quarter of 2002 at
a price of $3500. Owners who pay this premium will find their 4.7L V8
engine's output increased by 40% to around 335 horsepower from the naturally
aspirated 245. If that's not enough, optional stainless steel V8 headers
can be purchased for $700 to add 14-16 more horsepower and a cat back
exhaust system can add 8-12 more horsepower at a cost of $300. Add up
all the optional TRD parts and you can boost horsepower and torque by
45% over the stock truck.
