RAM ROD SHOWS OFF SPECTRAFLAIR PAINT By:

The all new
2002 Dodge Ram showed up in a number of iterations during this year's
SEMA show but one in particular caught our attention at the DaimlerChrysler
display.
Stunning
is about the only word that can be used to describe the SpectraFlair paint
job on Performance West's Ram Rod show truck.
A new light
diffractive pigment, created by Flex Products, creates a rainbow hue in
the paint coating that is very distinctive and smooth without being harsh
like other iridescent paint jobs. The rainbow is created with microscopic
aluminum particles.
According
to a Flex Products spokesperson near the Ram Rod, this paint job might
be offered as an option on future Rams.
The Ram Rod
also sports looks inspired by past Dodge concept trucks, the PowerWagon
and PowerBox. Along with a similar color paint job to the Power twins,
the front bumpers and lower fascia have been resculpted with an edge and
integrated fog lamps. 23-inch wheels add to the concept feel.
A Kenne Bell
supercharger kit adds power to the Ram Rod's looks.
